If you've worked with us before, you knew us by a different name. In 2022, this company started as MPM Productions — a video production and editing shop with a circular badge logo and a straightforward offer: videography, video editing, and photography, done well and delivered fast.
Today that same team works under a new name: Mention Marketing. Here's how we got from one to the other, and what the change actually means for the people we work with.
Where it started
MPM Productions was a production company in the most literal sense. Clients came to us with something that needed to be filmed, edited, or photographed, and we produced it. The early work was almost entirely hands-on — shooting content, cutting videos, and shipping deliverables at a pace that kept small businesses visible online.

Along the way we had the chance to meet many of our clients face to face, including at our first expo, where the team spent a weekend talking with business owners about what they actually needed from their marketing. Those conversations shaped a lot of what came next.

From production to full management
The turning point was a pattern we kept running into. We would deliver a high-production video we were genuinely proud of — and the client wouldn't quite know what to do with it. Where should it live? How should it be cut for each platform? What should follow it next week? The production was excellent, but production alone was only solving half of the problem.
So we branched into the management side of the work: content strategy, social calendars, email campaigns, websites, and the analytics that tie everything together. Within a few months of any engagement, the video work sat inside a full system that decided where content went, how it was adapted, and what came next — and that system, not any single deliverable, was what actually moved the numbers for clients.
The industry was shifting too. Attention kept getting scarcer, and AI began changing how businesses get discovered — people increasingly ask a machine a question and hear back whichever brand the machine remembers. That shaped where we decided to take the company: toward full-stack marketing built for how discovery works now, with AI woven into how we research, produce, and optimize.

Why "Mention"
When we rebranded, we wanted the name to describe how our marketing works rather than the deliverables we produce. The mechanism we build around is the mention — the moment someone brings your brand up in a conversation you're not part of, tags a friend under your video, or types your name into a search bar instead of a category. That moment matters because of what follows it: conversions, sign-ups, bookings, and requests. Views alone don't pay anyone's invoices; a niche that talks about you does.
MPM Productions became Mention Marketing: a full management marketing agency covering social media, short-form video, branding, email, content strategy, CRM, web design, analytics, and paid media — all pointed at getting brands mentioned, seen, and remembered.

What stays the same
The people, for a start. The team behind MPM Productions is the team behind Mention Marketing, and the standards haven't moved: work is produced in-house, clients deal with people rather than account layers, and nothing ships unless we believe it's worth someone's attention.
What the rebrand really marks is the gap between what we were founded to do and what we've become good at. The production skills that built MPM are still at the center of the work — there's just a full management engine around them now.
If you knew us as MPM Productions, thank you for being part of that chapter. And if you're meeting us for the first time: we're Mention Marketing.
Mentioned. Seen. Remembered.
